Test run
Enter a situation and see which payment methods checkout shows, before you save.
What it's for
The test run shows what your settings do in a specific situation: who is buying, what's in the cart, country, language and delivery method. It uses the page as it is now, even if it isn't saved yet. The app doesn't look up any customer for this and asks Shopify nothing. You enter everything by hand.
What you enter
- Who is buying: guest or logged-in customer, plus her tags, number of orders and amount spent.
- Cart: cart value (subtotal excluding shipping), product tags, gift card, only items without shipping, subscription item.
- Country, language and delivery method.
- Payment methods at checkout: one per line, in the order Shopify offers them, with the name Shopify uses internally. "Use payment methods from base order and rules" fills the list with every name from your settings.
The result
Under "How checkout shows the payment methods", the payment methods appear in checkout order. Each row says why it's there: moved up by the base order, moved up by a rule, renamed, or no rule applies. Hidden ones are listed below, with the rule that hides them.
Under "Rules in this run", each rule shows its state: matches, doesn't match, off or skipped.
If your rules would hide every payment method, the test run shows the safety net: the app then hides none.
If your settings can't be saved right now, the test run doesn't calculate. It calculates again once the message at the top of the page is resolved.
